Confusion. Problem.
Posted by anasimtiaz on Aug 3, 2010 in Life | 11 commentsSometimes when things seem to be right yet a feeling of confusion and restlessness continues to linger over. More often than not, there exists a problem. Usually a simple problem, which is not perceivable. But there is a problem. You just cannot pinpoint it, despite it staring right in to your eyes. When you sleep, you dream of it but when you wake up, you cannot remember it. Still, it’s there, rooted deep inside you. Maybe its just you.

salaam. perhaps your rooh is hungry and u are feeding your jism?
Welcome to my world *glumly*
Btw, nice comment above. Probably that is the problem.
Here’s what you need to do.
1. Get a hot, steamy cup of coffee. (Make sure that that cup is disposable.)
2. Take that hot, steamy cup of coffee with you on a short walk.
3. End your short walk in a nice park.
4. Find an empty bench in that nice park. (Little children playing near that empty bench will be a plus. Little children playing football near that empty bench will be a bonus.)
5. Sit on that empty bench.
6. Watch the trees, leaves, grass, dogs, and people. (If children are playing, then watch the children and ignore everything else.)
7. Chuckle to yourself whenever you see something amusing, like leaves falling on a person’s head, or a dog catching the ball thrown by his master. (If children are playing, then chuckle every time a kid smacks his playmate on the head.)
8. Don’t forget to keep taking sips of your coffee.
9. Get up when you finish the coffee.
10. Find a trash can.
11. Throw the empty cup in that trash can.
12. Start roaming around the park.
13. Keep on strolling until you feel a little tired.
14. Find an empty bench again. (If you can manage to find the same bench that you sat on earlier, it will be a huge plus.)
15. Sit on that empty bench.
16. Close your eyes.
17. Now think of your problem.
If you do every thing as I’ve said, then your mind will find your problem (if it exists) and put it under the spotlight. Aim and shoot.
I guess what I am saying is that if you let your mind relax completely, your problem will bubble up on the surface on its own. You’ll also know if you’re only imagining the problem.
tl;dr? Just find something (like a workout) that will really relax you. Your problem (if any) will present itself.
nah i read it..twice
following all those 17 steps is a bit tedious, but i do get the point
Love the theme, boy! Kidhar se mili?
There is a problem. It’s called growing up
Jokes aside waise.. I really think we’ve left our simplicity way, way behind, and now we’re just fighting for everything that’s better, bigger, faster, sexier. And there can be no satisfaction on that path, you know that already..
Just, give back, every once in a while. And pray. For yourself, and for me
Did you say ‘when things are going right’?
Aaah! Yes. You know I think it’s because we’re so used to having something going wrong in our lives that we’re constantly working on fixing something or the other. We’re not used to things going right. So when they do go right and you realize it, smile and say Alhamdullilah.
And if your mind starts playing tricks on you telling you that there is still a problem, slap yourself and say you’re content with whatever you have and will keep working to stay content
.
Peace. We all need peace. And somehow we seem to be leaving it very far behind us. :s
every single person dese days r facing same kind of feelings,,they do all kind of good as well as bad stuff to shut dis up..bt its cure is inside us..we jus have to find da ryt way…
maybe sometimes you see no solution to the problem- atleast no immediate solution – and hence the burden plagues you until one day things become better and you smile.
problem solve easily because of your confidence
