purpose of life

Almost 23 years of existence, and I am yet to discover (rather uncover) myself. I don't know much about my own self. Thinking about the purpose of my existence, I find no reason for it. My contributions in this world are nil and I don't see them improving at any time. My voice, thoughts and opinions do not matter. Life goes on – and just because I am living on earth (or forced to live) I have to change myself to suit the themes of this dear planet. I strive to change myself – for nothing. I will continue to do so, until one day, my body will give up. The vital organs will stop functioning and I will cease to exist – that too will happen without my will.

  1. we are all here for a reason… to get laid! :D

  2. err was this your idea of an update? shukkar karo tum meray samnay nahin ho
waisay, what do you mean by almost 23? dont tell me you arent 23..i’ll have to kill myself..

  3. ”Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion and He is Able to do all things. (1) Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving; (2)’ [Surah Al Mulk]
    :P

  4. You know your purpose in life if you keep the Hereafter in your mind.

You strive to change yourself for the better. Your voice, thoughts, and opinion DO matter, maybe not immediately to the people you want them to matter to, but how do you know your inspirational conversation with your friend the other day did not changed the life of an evesdropping stranger?

And don’t think just because you’re 23 your life is over. JK Rowling had her first Harry Potter book published at age 31, after having the manuscript rejected by twelve publishing houses.

    Live it up! :)

    • duhh…no one eavesdrop on me…i take special care of that..seriously! :S

Err…no the age has nothing to do with it. In fact, I am thankful to the Almighty for what I have achieved by this age…but I mean if u look at the progression of life – can u really change anything? It feels like I am just a passenger in a train whose eventual destination is fixed – but the path it takes is not to be decided by me, and I cannot influence the driver….kch samajh aayi baat? im a bit confused myself

  5. Umm I think what you describe is called destiny. It’s written for you. The topic of fate and destiny is a little confusing. From what I understand, our destiny is fixed. But being created as Human Beings (a higher level than animals) we decide our own fate in this life or rather our actions decide our fate. Ci?

  6. Chal bhai! Falsafe ki class shuru ho gaee hai yaha pe!!!!

Dude! Seriously? If you want to change the world, it wont happen by talking about it/blogging about it…. go out there and start doing it already!

  7. “Life goes on – and just because I am living on earth (or forced to live) I have to change myself to suit the themes of this dear planet. I strive to change myself – for nothing.”

    Well said!

    And LOL @ Safi! :P

  8. Talha Abid

Join the club bro! and what do you mean you are forced to live on earth? You got other options?

  9. aah yes… the reality check… its much needed once in a while…

  10. Nice comprehensively written post. Btw, belated happy birthday :)

I guess we all do feel this way at certain points in time. And contributions sirf un kay hee baray lagtay hain jinn kee boht shuhrat hoti hay .. :P But the fact is, that the quiet workers do not get unappreciated in the sight of Allah. So if we DO have a tendency to work for the good of mankind (stuff we do besides academics I mean), then those lil things matter too…

And if we conform every act of ours, in any circumstance that is handed to us, a/c to the Will of Allah (like whatever is permissible, and whats not).. then IMHO, we do worship of Allah — which is the purpose of creation.

So chahay humain 24 pay utha lia jayy yaa, 94 pay :P , the contribution remains great — in the Sight of Allah. Which is what matters.

(er, sorry for the long comment).
