I just watched this show called No Reservations on Dawn News, where the guest was Salman Taseer. Not surprisingly, he is a pretty outspoken but a very pragmatic person.
A few interesting replies from Salman Taseer to some questions:
Question: What comes to your mind when you hear about the following: Imran Khan?
Answer: Glamour and nonsense
Question: Who would you like to see in an advertisement for Moltyfoam?
Answer: That would be me
Question: Who would you like to see in an advertisement of sleeping pills?
Answer: That would be a politician from Punjab, you know who I’m talking about!
He also revealed the ups and downs of his life, business and politics including how he was treated by the Sharif brothers and how he managed to escape on the back of a motorcycle with his head covered by a towel.
It was a really interesting and candid interview and a must watch!!
People like Salman Taseer are professional politicians. They have no ideology; they have no vision. The only reason they are in politics is to get the perks and privileges and benefits of power. Pakistan needs a revolution, precisely against people like Salman Taseer who have just sucked this country dry, who have destroyed this country and destroyed the potential in this country by engaging in meaningless politics – this politics of musical chairs.
We should ask him one question. What leader is he following? Everyone has known for the past ten years that PPP is corrupt and that Asif Ali Zardari is even more corrupt. They have been siphoning off money from the people of Pakistan for years. What moral thought process is going through his mind when he follows people like that? There is no democracy in his party anyway.
There is an “Imperial Highness” and a lot of stooges like him who just follow their leader knowing that he is corrupt.
